Do you have an expensive wine cellar or just want better control of where your wines are at all times? Scannabar has the solution…two actually! With Scannabar, you can choose to individualize each of your bottles by simply attaching a Scannabar tracking label to the bottle. To give the label it’s identity: variety, name, vintage, cost and color, simply scan the existing UPC code of the bottle. If the bottle does not have a UPC code, simply select the variety from the list available on your portable scanner.

Once a wine leaves your cellar, simply remove the tracking label from the bottle and scan the tag out of inventory. The benefits of using Scannabar for your wine cellar are: check and balances on what is actually being placed into your cellar(s), check and balances in regards to the wines that are being rung up by your staff versus what is actually leaving your inventory and a perpetual inventory that will allow you to improve your purchases and suggest wines based on their availabilities.

If you prefer not to apply the tracking tags to your bottles, Scannabar offers you the option of simply scanning the UPC of the bottles and managing your inventory on a variety basis versus a unique bottle basis.
